My dad is inclosing his garage and need these for his two by fours to go into the concret. I have know clue what I'm talking about. Please help.

Form stakes are available at Home Depot in different lengths. It sounds like 12" or 18" stakes would be long enough. They are pounded into the ground, not concrete. Secure the form boards on the ground side then use 2x4's nailed to the top of that form to secure any form board resting on the concrete. If you must place a stake through the concrete you will have to drill a hole in the concrete first.

at just about any hardware store they look like big nails with holes in the sides
