Learn to draw. Begin to design outfits. Learn to sew. Make clothes from patterns - then make clothes from four different patterns put together. Then draw your own pattern pieces.

Study other designers works. Go on line and look for original fashion sketches. Adapt the styles to your own. Then try to create something totally new.

Get a sewing machine and learn to sew doll clothes. Seriously, it's the best way to start at a young age and your get practice working with the sewing machine.

Next take your ideas from the drawing board and actually start sewing the clothes. Have your parents take you to buy the fabric that you image the clothes being made out of.

If you don't have sketches buy some patterns and start sewing from them.

The best way to do it is just do it.
