Not completely.

You have to be aware that the music is usually stereo and the lyrics are usually mono. Some software (like Goldwave) use this to remove the lyrics from a song.

From there, you can do a negative paste to invert the result, thus removing the music.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work quite well. You can still softly hear the music behind, but it's as close as it can be.
