I went to the doctors today and was told that i was 3 to 4 centimeters dialated and 50 percent effaced and am now experiencing contractions every 5 minutes apart. I was curious how fast you dialate, this is my 3rd baby so will it go faster?

I dialated from 3 to 10 in 90 minutes, but that's really fast. Sometimes it can take all day.

If the last 2 labors were similar, you will most likely have the same progression again. My 2 kids were 9 hour labors..exactly alike...water brome early in the am...born mid afternoon.

I would make it to the hospital... The more children you have the faster they come...
