First off, I'm a total amateur when it comes to computers, so any help will be really appreciated.

I bought World of Warcraft recently, and I thought that, considering the minimum specs required to play the game are that of a Pentium III, I would be able to run it on my desktop computer. But I haven't.

Recommended specifications for WoW:

Windows System 2000/XP OS:
Intel Pentium IV 1.5 GHz or AMD XP 1500+ MHz
1024 (or 512) MB RAM
64 (or 32) MB 3D graphics card with Hardware Transform and Lighting, such as NVIDIA® GeForce™ FX 5700 class card or above

My specifications (or at least, what I could figure out):

Windows XP
Intel Pentium IV Processor 2.40 GHz
512MB RAM
SIS651 Integrated Graphics with Real256tm 2D/3D graphics accelerator. 32MB shared graphics memory (64MB max)

The one thing I'm entirely unsure of is whether or not my graphics card meets the requirements. There could be a hundred reasons as to why the game fails to load, and I want to rule out whatever I can.

um... probably... but probably extremely slow. Your video card is hurting. You'd have to turn all the settings down and you'll still lag like nothing else.

Will it run? Yes. Will it run well? Most likely not. Upgrade your video card just a tiny bit and you'd be ok. (more ram wouldn't hurt either)

I am not so completely sure you will be able to because of the itegrated graphics...

If all possible you can buy a PCI Express card for ab 100 (if u have a pci express slot)

Or like me ( i dint have a pci express slot) you can add a PCI graphicsa card for under 60 bucks
