Each empty can weights .6 oz. which means 2 cans go just over 1 oz. So it's safe to say prob. 31 cans to a lb.

According to the source, 1 pound of aluminum produces 31.92 cans, or 1 kilo produces 14.48 cans. Dividing 1/14.48 = .069 kilos or 69 grams. One can weighs 69 grams.

Actually your wrong. he wanted to know how many EMPTY 12 oz. cans it would take to make a pound. I don't know the answer just weigh a empty 12 oz can and do the math. I don't have an empty can or a scale or I would do it for you. I just wanted to tell the person above she is wrong.
