Is it 50/50?
Or do they do none at all?
Or do they just clean up after themselves or pick one big thing to do (like the yard)?

Just curious about this, and how everybody feels about their current routine...

I don't allow my husband to clean or do anything around the house except repair or addition. I would never find anything again. I have a certain way of organizing and cleaning my home and if something isn't put back where I know I had it, it's very frustrating for me. Some tease that I'm borderline OCD when it comes to my home but I have to have it a certain way or I won't be comfortable. I'm a stay home mom and he works full time and I think he should come home to a clean and organized home and kids. He makes the money and I make the home! It might sound lame but this routine works for us.

My hubby is an equal contributor to housework. He picks up after himself, does dishes, laundry and cooks. I have never asked him to do anything, he just does it. After I had our second child 10 years ago, he was the sole source of income, which meant he worked 9+ hours a day, and still came home to cook, clean and take care of the kids. I know most women aren't as fortunate, which is why I rarely ever have a harsh thing to say about my husband. If I say I have homework to do (because I go to school full time along with working full time), he will take the kids to the park or outside to play so I can get everything done without any distractions. He is the best!!

Well, since I'm a housewife, I do the majority of the work. However, my husband is not above house work. He does all the yard work (except my flower beds), he helps with the kids, he gives them baths at least twice a week. He changes at least one diaper a day. He isn't afraid of doing the dishes and will do them once in a while. He also sweeps and mops the kitchen for me from time to time.

Now HIS father thinks he's henpecked because he doesn't ride his recliner from the time he gets home till the time he goes to bed. His dad doesn't do squat.

Mine cooks on occasion, keeps the yard mowed, washes his own laundry, washes dishes sometimes, takes out the trash and does the grocery shopping, which I hate!
He also keeps the vehicles checked underneath the hood, does our own oil changes, and most of the mechanical work on the vehicles.
He will fed the dogs and do other things when asked.
I let him know I appreciate everything he does...now if only I could get him to start on the remodeling! Tee-Hee!

My husband and I try to split everything 50/50. I'll load the dishes, he unloads them. Laundry I don't let him touch, but he'll vacuum all day long. We feel since we are both in this relationship, we should both contribute. I like it, but it's not for everyone.

My ex wife did NOTHING , I worked all day and then came home and did cleaning laundry ect...

My new wife shares everything including
feeding the animals and mowing the 3 acre front yard.

if one of us is sick, the other one attempts
to take over all the duties. in our case that is a lot so sometimes EVERYTHING doesn't get done on time.

I'm a SAHM and my husband works so I do most of it. He however does the dishes most nights and some laundry once a week. I refuse to pickup after someone!
