There is - but since I don't know (with no disrespect intended) if this is really your laptop or a stolen one, I can't tell you how to do it. If it's really yours, take it to a qualified laptop repairman.

If you don't need any of the data on the laptop then just reinstall the operating system using a restore cd that came with the laptop or a Microsoft Windows cd. If you do this, ALL DATA WILL BE GONE. You will be starting over just like when you bought the laptop.
If you know there is no password set for the Administrator user, then you could boot into safe mode by pressing F8 during computer startup and select safe mode. Once you get the login prompt, just type in "Administrator" (without the quotes) and click ok. From here you can go into START -> SETTINGS -> CONTROL PANEL -> USER ACCOUNTS. Once you have launched USER ACCOUNTS, you can select a user and reset the password to your liking....
Another way is using a program called ERD Commander by Winternals. This is not a free product and is not cheap. This product can change passwords using a program called LockSmith.

Hope this helps!

There is a free program called Ultimate Boot CD for Windows, it allows you to set a new admin password. See the link below. Have used it many times; easy, free and works on all 2000, XP and the various server versions of Windows.

i think of you (or somebody else) has set a BIOS password to be asked mutually as booting. in case you dont remember the BIOS password, there is the thank you to reset it (or do away with it fairly). There must be a small cellular on the motherboard (CMOS). do away with the CMOS battery and don't reinsert the battery for roughly 30 minutes... Then reinsert the battery. The password ought to no longer be asked.
