I cant draw the graph here, but it looks like this

y=0 when x>=0

and y=2x when x<0.

When x <0, the function is a rising diagonal line with a slope of 2. At x=>0, the function is plotted along the x-axis.

for a graph, go to www.quickmath.com, click Plot under Equations, which is to the left of the website.

type in y = x - |x|

then change the margins to

-10,10
-10,10

then click plot.

its really hard to draw it but go to google and search for 'winplot', download and install it, its a free software for graphing math equations
just dont use it too much on doing your work... destroys the math way of thinking graphs
