Life is spiritual energy. It is transcendental to matter or the body. I noticed that you have received some answers that imply that life is the cells or the chemicals of the body. This is nonsense. If that is all life was, then we could be making human beings in the lab strictly with chemical combinations. The fact that even cloning and invitro fertilization require tissue and input from living or recently living beings should indicate something important to us. The spark of life is not a chemical or a DNA strand or anything material, it is the spiritual energy of the Supreme Lord, commonly called soul or spirit soul. Those who believe otherwise should prove this idea in the lab.
