one stamp is 39 cents. It depends on the weight of the letter as to how many stamps you need.
Also depends on if you are sending it regular mail. If you send it first class or specialty it will cost more.

For a letter that weighs less than one ounce, a 39 cent stamp will get it anywhere in the USA using standard mail. If you are uncertain if the weight, you should take it to the post office to have it weighed and apply the correct postage. Otherwise, it will come back to you due to insufficient postage.

A first class letter, #10 envelope, price is 39 cents if you are only sending one.
If you suspect your letter is more than 1 ounce, please take it to the post office and have them weigh and meter it for you.
Too many people just add stamps to guess how much it would cost and end up giving the post office ALOT of UNEARNED money.
Sometimes, you can send postcards for less. Depending on the size.
If you send a bunch of the same size letters (more than 1000) your price can go down significantly.
