Probably because they have a common ancestor. If someone had a very large family, and the children of the family in turn had large families traits like those would spread.

Its probably where their wives/girlfriends drag them back home from the pub by their lugholes, thats why they are big
High foreheads is because they recede quicker as they are great worriers and the stress of the wives/girlfriends pulling them back home from pub makes them lose their hair quicker
