There are lots of fun things to do in Chi-town.

I love the Museum of Science and Industry. I know, it sounds boring...but it is WAY cool. It's an interactive museum where you get to touch, feel, and "do" the exhibits. It's great for all ages. Here's their website:

If you're an art enthusiast, you need to see the Art Institute of Chicago. It's wonderful.

The Shedd Aquarium is fun too: http://www.sheddaquarium.org/

Then there's Adler planetarium, The Natural History museum, Brookfield Zoo (better than the Lincoln Park Zoo)...Sear's tower, Navy Pier, Water Tower Place shopping district...

Here's a website that lists most of the attractions in and around Chicago. You can buy a card that allows you entrance into many attractions for free. Here's the site:

Have fun! Chicago is a great place to visit.

Go to Navy Pier and eat at Bubba Gump's and take a Sea-Dog cruise (you'll get wet but it's a great photo op of the city from the Lake. While you're there, ride the big ferris wheel (it never stops!) for a birds-eye view of the shore.

Go to the observation deck of the John Hancock center. When you get off the elevator and walk towards the full-length windows, it makes you feel like you're going to step out into space because of the way the building is shaped. The ride up & down the elevator is awsome, too, and you can feel the building sway with the wind and see effects of the movement in the water in a toilet bowl!

Try to hear some great Chicago blues and get some of their great baby back ribs, too. It's been too long since I've been there to know the best, but your concierge should be able to hook you up...

Two really fun, touristy things to do: Hop on one of the double-decker buses at the Sears' Tower and sit on top of the bus. You get a ride around the city hosted by fantastic tour guides and you can get off the bus anyplace that you want to see closer up then get back on to continue your tour. Another great and informative way to get an overview of the city...take one of the tour boats that go down the Chicago river and out into Lake Michigan. Take one that features an architectural tour and goes out in the evening...spectacular. Bring a jacket, the lake air gets cold even in the summer.

Navy Pier - including the ferris wheel, IMAX and boat rides
Sears Tower
Field Museum
Museum of Science and Industry
Adler Planetarium
There's so much more, but these are my favorites. They're all in the downtown area (also known as the loop). They'll show up on any map of the city.

Get on the Loop and the Magnificent Mile, there is so much to do in just those spots.... numerous museums, good food, the pier, cool shops, you won't be bored. Stay at the Drake hotel, it was great and they offered complimentary limo rides to any musuem or hotspot in Chicago. Check out a Frodor's guide if they have one on Chicago.

By all means go to see the Blue Man Group--worth the time and money. Also the Art Museum is powerful. Don't waste your time on the Science and Industry Museum--very out-dated. Go to Navy Pier also. All taxi drivers know the way and that is the only way to get around Chicago. Be sure and see the BEAN.

Have lunch at the Signature room in the Hancock center (Pearson & Michigan). They have a buffet lunch. It's only OK food, but for a reasonable price, you get the view from the 95th floor and lunch, too.

Check out metromix.com for more ideas.
