The plan of both is larger government , higher taxes (when one goes down another goes up)states with income taxes are forced to increase them to cover budgets the fed reduced by lowering its tax so we still have the same level and size of government with no change in the plans for the future .Do you not see this or am i the only one to notice .
STATES with lottery's to fund education cut the state and fed funding to the amount of revenue raised in the lottery's. Then spent that money on other projects that increased overall spending .I wish i never picked up a paper or read a report on government spending .THEN i could say they represent the people .THEY represent them selves and have grown to large . WE need a plan that reduces the size of government by cutting employee's by 50% over ten years and reintroduce these people to the private sector .
GOVERNMENT workers have health dental pension and realitively good pay .THEY have become the working mans enemy taxing him to death .

The federal government is a mechanism to redistribute wealth among the American people. Democrats want to redistribute it from the rich to the poor. Republicans want it to go the other way. Everything else is academic.

The democratic party of the 60' s has left the house. They used to be for the working man and understood that by hard work, we didnt want to shell out lots of taxes.

At the same time, the Republicans were considered the rich peoples party and wanted tax cuts and tax relief for all, but mostly the rich.

Now the democratic party has the unions in their pockets, special interest groups and the welfare vote. They forgot about the working man because they want to increase taxes to support their projects. They feel the average people cant make decisions for themselves and need the government looking out for them.

Now the republican party has moved further to the right and has embraced the working man and still beleives in cutting taxes. They feel that the working man can best spend his money for things they need.

But no matter what party, it all boils down to two basic groups. Liberal or conservative. I am a conservative democrate and feel that if the government dont have the money, dont spend it. If you tax big business, they pass the tax on to you in the products they sell. I remember when Tedd Kennedy wanted to tax the auto makers a $1,000.00 per vehicle they sold. Onlyproblem was, the cost of the vehicle was going up by that much so, who was paying the " tax"? The working men and woman were paying it.

If congress would forget party affiliation, do away with their high dollar retirement system and go to social security, they would fix it in six months or less.

We the People, are their bosses and we forget that. WE the people need to call our elected officals and remind them and tell them that if they dont fix these things, they will be unemployeed next election.

The problem is, they know we all wont stand together so they laugh at us becuase we are considered to smarter than sheep.

SO, my question to you, are you a sheep, or are you going to make some phone calls to these people and let your voice be heard???

The major political parties have the same plan... get elected, stay in office.

They both waste money like it's an olympic sport. Neither care about their constituents, they care about getting elected so they can get their snouts into the tax dollar trough.

The both craft designer legislation to benfit not the people who elected them, but the corporations and special interest groups that donate large sums of money to the National party.

The political parties do not represent a government of the people and haven't for years.

You sound like a Libertarian. Have you take "The Quiz" yet? It is available at http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html. It has several questions about whether government should or should not raise or lower taxes, limit speech, and so on.
