And do you agree that the suggested compatibility types actually result in better relationships, or have you had experiences to the contrary, whether with a supposed wrong type that turned out to be a great relationship, or when the "correct" type led to a horror story?

I am a Taurus and I am not with anyone right now, but my best relationships have been with Leos (they grab my heart), Scorpios, definitely Libras (I love Libra men),
I am very close to Capricorn and Virgo men, but as friends, I've never gone any further with them.
I have had very long relationships with the Leos and Libras I've been with, but I don't end up talking romantically to the people I am supposed to, (according to astrology), but then there is also the chart and my chart is mostly fire signs.
I believe that God has somebody for all of us, and I do not want to limit him by something like astrology. I believe it has some truth, but I don't base my decisions on it because I would've missed out on some beautiful relationships.

I am a Pisces and my boyfriend is a Taurus. I do agree to some extent what the suggested types say....because each long relationship I've had they have been an Earth sign (Taurus and Cap)...which is what is "recommended" for Pisces.
I also think though that it is up to both people to make a relationship successful because while I may be a Pisces, my rising signs also will influence my personality and I will be slightly different than every other Pisces out there.

I am a Pisces and I'm with a Capricorn. I think that for the most part the compatibility between signs is pretty accurate but, like with anything, there is more than just the sign at work in the relationship.
In theory a Scorpio should be one of my best choices but the one Scorpio I tried to hook up with ended up being just a great friend. When it came down to it there were just no sparks between us.
I do not get along with Sagittarius in dating relationships either.

I'm a Sagittarius and he's an Aquarius. I don't really follow that stuff, so I have no clue if we're supposed to be compatible. It's been 5 years and we still don't know what direction to move this relationship in.

Cancer & Scorpio. Match made in heaven. Of course it's not perfect, we have our power struggles typcal for this combinations but everything else is great.
Incompatible combos by the book have been incompatible in my life. Astrology is a breathtaking science. It's real psychology, much better than the official "psychology". But there is more to it than looking at the sun sign. There are various planet aspects that tell you what type of person you are and who you match with.

I'm a leo & he's a libra!
Not only are we best friend signs (being that we're two signs apart), our rising signs are also compatible! Mine is aquarius, his is aries. (Also, best friend signs/two signs apart.) Not to mention, we're both viewed as kind of the "hippie" signs and we have supreme communication! Our sex is amazing, though I have to push him to be spontaneous at times. He loads on the charm, which myself (and all leos) looove. And I give him my undenying loyalty and help him make decisions! (Libra's are the scales and being that they see from each perspective evenly, it's sometimes hard for them to come to a conclusion.)
We're still "in love" with each other after a year and a half. By far, the BEST relationship, I have EVER been in. I wouldn't change it for the world. :)

some said that this is not a very good combination - since both will be very hardhearted and selfish, but my parents are also aries-aries and they life happily until now. There are obstacles of course, and I actually found that personality description based on horoscopes are quite accurate and can help you to know your boyfriend/girlfriend and potential problems you will have in the relationship. But then again, I think it depends on the very person to make the relationship works out well, regardless of their star sign.

So it says that we go together great or we can go together terribly. As for me and him, we go together great. Once things are set on the right path and both partners are interested in the development of the relationship, Sags and Gems go together perfectly. I must admit I am glad our horoscopes play in our favor but if they didn't that would definitely not stop me from loving him. I was with a Cancer once and it was horrible, same with a Scorpio.

I'm Cancer...he's Sagitarrius. When reading about each sign, there are things fitting for each of us but other things which aren't. The same goes for the Cancer-Sag relationship. (Also for the Snake-Rooster relationship - Chinese). So I don't really believe in that stuff. There are both horror stories and good stories for every bf I have had.

we've been together for 4 years and it seems to be working out very good
i could remember when we were first dating so many of our friends told us we matched but our signs didn't and that we would not see eye to eye on things
but we seem to be doing very good with things science he is a realist and I'm more like the one looking for something to be right about
most of the time I'm wrong and way off and i know it but i wont stop until he gives me the satisfaction of doubt.
