configure your broad band to your lan connection surely it would have got connected to your adsl modem
1. now on one of the browser type http://192.168.1.1
2. you get login screen log on as admin with passwd as adslroot
3. page opens of your modem
4. look for quick configuration add your account name and password for automatic logon to the mtnl net
5. No need to dial up again and again just fill the site and launch your self to it.

I think you want to let the modem do the ADSL
