In the biblical reference to the Last Supper, Judas betrayed Jesus. He was the 13th guest at the table. Jesus was reportedly crucified on Friday (thus adding to the Friday 13th superstition).

In ancient Rome a witch's coven supposedly comprised 12, with the 13th member being the devil.

A Norse myth tells of 12 Gods dining at Valhallah (the Norse version of heaven). A 13th uninvited guest, Loki, arrived and persuaded the God of darkness to slay the God of happiness.

A modern myth about this unfortunate number claims that if you have 13 letters in your name you'll have the devil's luck. So... is it a coincidence that the following characters reflect this trait? (Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy, Albert De Salvo).

now this is an off the wall answer that I hope you find how it works.

first read everything then decide on the answer

ok now lets start back to where the other answers have said, murder of knights and the last super.

there is still a group named Templar knights they are like the masons.well a lot of our government is still involved with this. this is council 13.

with the last super.... Catholicism has been controlled by higher ups for thousands of years and in mid-evil times the kings were the the conferment of that time and they were who released Catholicism to there people. if that isn't a form of control i don't know what is. ne ways as that government progressed we come to what we have today. so the knights being murdered was probably for some kind of significant reason.

now lets jump to the oldest smart people we have know of.

the Mayans and the Aztecs....the Incas were there but ran themselves out. these were very advanced civilizations for there time considering even just one example of the construction of a major city in the exact formation of of our solar system including Pluto.

these 2 groups essentially wok ed as one and now we have the Mayan calendar and the Aztec calendar/clock.
these two items WERE BOTH BASED ON THE NUMBER 13. this is because of the moon makes 13 equal cycles around the earth corresponding with zodiacs and other astral subjects.

now the last date in these both( according to the best conversions we have) is 12-21-2012 the Mayan/Aztec date of 13.0.0.0.0 witch is only 2303 days away. we just found Ianthe past 2 yrs a hidden Mayan city that if you walked through the jungle would not see it right next to you.

now at the end of this 13 count cycle there supposed to be some sort of enlightenment. may it be simply information know to everyone in the world, hence technologies, aliens, war. or possibly our brains could unlock to the psychic, paranormal, and other gifts in that direction. one possible expel is that aliens come to earth and science they are advanced would make sense to use telepathy for it would be much easier and so that we would learn.

now why is the number 13 considered bad? well if the government obviously knows everything then they would know the truth about the number 13 and the information it provides then to control us they must influence what we naturally feel about certain things so we won't per sue more information about it.

so take it as you want but how can that not be possible.

Some claim it was from the Last Supper and 13 at the table, others claim it is geometry because 13 spots can't be placed onto exact(whole number) portions of a 360 degree circle...

There are many myths around the 13 superstition.

1 day, long, long ago there were
2 people walking across a field. Tom was the youngest of his
3 other brothers and Julie was the youngest of her
4 older sisters. This was the
5th time that they walked across the field to the pond near their homes. Tom had brought a
6 pack of condoms with him because Julie told him she was leaving for college on the
7th of September and wanted to experience her first time with him before she left. The cd she made with her favorite music had
8 songs on it.
9 kisses on the nape of her neck was almost to much excitement for the both of them. Their
10 items of clothing ended up in the water, and
11 birds screeched towards the sky when Julie began to cry. Tom begged and pleaded with her
12 more times but his
13th attempt to continue was silently answered by Julie. She swiftly kicked him inbetween the legs, and shouted "NO, I don't want to."
Guys-> you're not always going to get lucky.
Girls-> stand up for yourselves and make the right choices... however hard they may be.
