Tigers are all of one species (Panthera tigris).

As the answerer above said, there are 5 recognised subspecies.

1. Amur or Siberian Tiger - Panthera tigris altaica

2. Bengal Tiger - Panthera tigris tigris

3. Indochinese Tiger - Panthera tigris corbetti

4. Sumatran Tiger - Panthera tigris sumatrae

5. South China Tiger - Panthera tigris amoyensis (which is critically endangered)

There are 5 types of tigers:
Amur (siberian) tigers

Indochinese Tigers
South China Tigers (some people think that the south china tigers are extinct in the wild)
and the Sumatran Tiger

The three that are extinct are:

Balinese,Javan, and Caspian.
