Ahmedinejad/Khamenei is(are) the current bad guy(s).
As long as money matters, we'll never live in a totally peaceful world. for the same reason, the UN will rarely unite.

It is arrogance to think that any western power or influence can "solve" the mideast crisis. There is no solving it. There hasn't been a solution for 4000 years and there never will be.
Getting overtly involved in it was perhaps the most stupid decision ever made by a government. Talk about a lack of historical perspective. As long as there is a small piece of rock and dirt, or religious differences to fight over, there will always be conflict in the Mideast.
The best result we could hope for is to exit the entire region and become merely another nation that has diplomatic relations and trade with those states that wish it. Of course, even that supposition is laughable. The seeds of hatred and revenge have been planted deep, mostly by our own actions, and now our children and theirs will have to inherit a world where tolerance and peaceful co-existence are archaic terms, a footnote of fultility.
Sorry for the pessimism, reality sucks, but there it is.

It is human nature to fight. And oil is not the reason for the US fighting there. And if oil is so bad then what about Kofi Annan and the others that abused the oil for food program in Iraq before the war? With a sick freak like that running the UN how could you expect anyone to stand behind the UN? Saddam kept his people suffering and Kofi Annan and friends profited. Shame on you.
Thank God Bush did the right thing and took care of a long standing problem. If the liberal half of the country could find some balls and get behind the war effort then maybe we would be out of there sooner. The liberal complaints about the war just make the war last longer. I guaranty you we are not leaving until the job is done.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, rely on the UN for keeping peace. They are woefully inadequate at getting anyone to talk about anything peacefully.
When in one breath you state that you have the right to pursue nuclear technology and you believe that Israel should be wiped off the face of the map, how can you NOT be considered against peace, how can we not identify the aggressor manning the reins in Tehran?
There is no unifying event or force for nations to agree, currently. I think when nations such as Iran or maybe an extreme government down the road in Pakistan, start waving missiles around, you will see the world come down hard and unified on those nations. Right now, we say these nations have no intent or ability to use WMD's. We are kidding ourselves into a false security and sense of peace. We want it so bad, we look the other way, how ostrich of us!
Conflict in the Middle East is now solely on the shoulders of extreme Islamic elements. Israel left the Gaza Strip and West Bank, it was not enough. Israel developed commercial interests in the Palestinian territories and collected for Palestine those revenues generated by Palestinian commercial interests, yet it was not enough. Palestinians got authority over their own land, their political autonomy, the absence of Israeli troops, and yet supported Hamas and Hezbollah in an even further push of aggression to incite and attack the Israeli state. They simply will not coexist in peace while supporting Hamas or Hezbollah or similar organs.
So now that all appeasement has been made to the terror supporting states and their proxies, there is still conflict, still war, still death. Why? Because the West, the Judeo-Christian West, is an element that must be defeated in the eyes of those who conduct the current war against Israel and the US/UK. There is no middle ground, no compromise, no desire for peace without a uniformity in religion. That is the way they see it. And so our survival as a Judeo/Christian democratic society is at stake. It is a defensive posture, and for all those, including the UN, who see the US and Israel and UK as aggressors, I can only believe that the world outside of the US/UK/Israel no longer wants a powerful Judeo/Christian alliance or counterbalance to Islam. I can't understand why, but I do know that Islam is at all turns being cast as the victim or misunderstood resistor to some 'evil' imperialist plan concocted in DC/London/Tel Aviv. It's ludicrous, and perhaps then the world should be left to taste and enjoy Islamic sharia, since it appeals to them much more than the world the U.S. has led for 60 years. Unbelievable, tragic, just unbelievable.

There are several Saddams in the Middle East. They are all members in good standing in the UN. The UN is basically united already in their disdain for the US and Israel.

i've got not got self belief every physique however the inhabitants of the midsection East can deliver peace to their region. the midsection East's electorate and their warped perspectives on faith have created the h*ll they call civilization. Human existence isn't valued the way it is in Western way of existence and their faith teaches them to hate fairly than love. It teaches them that homicide is okay. The traditions of the Arabic society instruct them to mistreat their women and that demise is greater useful than dishonor. the only disaster there is interior the midsection East is that there are no longer sufficient knowledgeable human beings over there to instruct the warring freaks. as much as i might decide for to work out peace interior the midsection East and spot all human beings get alongside over there. it won't be able to ensue, until eventually the Muslims have some style of epiphany and detect that existence is properly worth residing and blood shed is blood wasted.
