You do not say how old he is? Is this annoying you or is it embarraesing you?
You know when you have a cold yopu breathe heavier and make more noises when eating, but because of your cold you do not recognise you are doing it.
This is what it is like for your son. Have you tried to speak to him and tell him he makes loud noises and that it sounds strange?
Of course if he is a young child then that is the way it is and the hope is as he gets older it will get better.
Does you son use an earing aid, or is there an operation her can have like the ones that put some kind of sensor in your ear drum to enable partial hearing to return. It is worth asking your doctor or specilist as if you are getting frustrated I am sure others and his peers are too.

Is your son a child? or an adult? Is he able to communicate in some way - reading/writing, signing, lip-reading? Is there a professional who can help your son? Without this information, it is difficult to give a helpful answer. First, your son needs to become aware that he is making the noises? And you need to find out why he does it - is he trying to communicate, or is it just random noises? Depending on all these things, he can begin to use these noises to his advantage or he can let them go as something undesirable.

I really, truly hope you are joking around about this question... But if not, more than likely he is either trying to communicate (duh?) or get attention! Really you should try and give your son the proper support he needs, and maybe with the right amount of attention he may stop making as many noises, but I would not encourage you to try and make him stop, but encourage him to talk at appropriate times.

You are awful! Why don't you reach out to him and hug him??????????????????????????????? Give him some attention. This is his means of communication right now. He might need you. Don't be so self absorbed. Try it. Touch his hands, stroke his face, and then give him a great big hug! Then tickle him! I don't know how old your son is because you did not state that but I am assuming he is a child.
I hope someone comes on this board and says how can I stop my mom from ignoring me and finding me annoying?

He is your son you should not judge him. Just show him how much he loves. He is trying to communicate like he sees you doing. He is going to make the noises just make the best of it.
good luck

You're son didn't do anything. He's trying to talk. If I were you i'd be happy to see him at least try. That's horrible getting mad at him for no reason. I am real disapointed that someone said spank him or hit him eith something. You would not be good parents if you did that do your children.

He probably is trying to talk. Are you heartless and that cold? What parent doesn't want their children to communicate, especially when they have a disability that can limit their interaction. It may be "annoying" sounding to you, but imagine how the poor little guy feels? Too bad you can't trade him places.

Safe Haven laws allow you to drop children off at a hospital or social service office. I'm thinking that would be best for him. Unless, of course, you're not as horrible as that question makes you sound.

Honey - almost doesn't mean he can't. He's trying in his own loving way to imitate you and your sound when you talk. have you tried hearing aids? Are they a possibility? Hearing aids with a lot of speech therapy and patience and love could help him. Otherwise stop complaining.

shouldn't you be happy that he's trying to do something that is almost impossible for him to do? does he know how to read lips or use sign language. help him out, don't put the kid down! god gave you a son like that as a gift, he thought you were special enough to help him, so do it!
