You do know partial birth abortions are performed in many states. Most will allow it up tp 26 weeks. Why dont you do some research before you write a response!

The core of the prochoice argument is that before 7 months a fetus in not a person and has no right to life that means this baby if in the uterus could be legally aborted
One has eveything to do with the other. Would women who feels so desperate beacuse they wont be able to finsh college on time still want to abort if they knew this is what a living fetus looks like? I understand medical emergencies but not using protection or thinking before engaging in intercourse is no medical emergency. Rape yes, because that woman was not given a choice, possible death yes because it would die any way but abortion just to be comfortable rediculous!

You do not need to have a medical reason for partial birth abortion. If you pay they will perform it has nothing to do with womens rights it is all about the money. Women do have the right to choose if the want children it should be made before you lay down and open your legs pills, iud, patch, condom, or even the morning after pill but why wait until a baby has formed I think its just sick

The fetus isnt viable, that means it has no right to life. I disagree with the concept of partial birth abortion because she can not live on her own it doesnt matter if she lives or dies? At the very moment that photo was taken that "fetus" couldve been having her brains sucked out or being burned or torn to pieces I hate to be graphic but just the idea that it is legal to do so is awful. I dont think the government has the right to control us I would never have an abortion but other women can do as they please but partial birth abortion is just murder I dont agree with any of it but that is the most disturbing.

Most abortions take place in the first trimester and are not birth control. Any pictures of a 5 month old premature baby do not relate to the core of the abortion argument and are a distraction from the actual issue. Rhetoric.

"You do know partial birth abortions are performed in many states. Most will allow it up tp 26 weeks. Why dont you do some research before you write a response!" Of course they are legal. The fetus isn't viable yet in 98% of the cases, and it's still a woman's right to choose. 88% of ALL abortions in the US are performed in the first 12-13 weeks. That's first trimester, well before your propaganda picture. Only 2% of abortions are performed after 21 weeks, and nearly all are because of serious medical complications. 36 states limit the time period in which pregnant women can have abortions. I've done the research, but it appears that some others have not. : (

"The core of the prochoice argument is that before 7 months a fetus in not a person and has no right to life that means this baby if in the uterus could be legally aborted" Have you actually read what the corse of the pro-choice argument is? From someplace other than an anti-choice website? Most simply want to protect the woman's right to a safe and legal abortion - giving them control over their bodies.

"Rape yes, because that woman was not given a choice, possible death yes because it would die any way but abortion just to be comfortable rediculous!" So a baby is only worth fighting for if it was a choice? Babies of rape are worth less? Hmmm.

"You do not need to have a medical reason for partial birth abortion. If you pay they will perform it has nothing to do with womens rights it is all about the money. " But the point is that most women do. Only 2% of women have third trimester abortions! You make it sound like women are running around getting pregnant and then having abortions for fun! You've been lied to! Few women don't take this decision VERY seriously. They know the consequences. And doctors have the right not perform abortions in 47 states.

"it should be made before you lay down and open your legs pills, iud, patch, condom, or even the morning after pill but why wait until a baby has formed I think its just sick" Half of women DID use protection regularly - it just failed or they screwed up once. It's not about birth control.

"I dont think the government has the right to control us I would never have an abortion but other women can do as they please but partial birth abortion is just murder I dont agree with any of it but that is the most disturbing." Sure you do. Otherwise you wouldn't be creating propaganda and spreading lies and calling legal termination of a non-viable fetus "murder". Especially when it's such a rare occurance.

RESEARCH! If an abortion would have been done at five months it is considered partial-birth abortion....research then submit an actual argument.

But I thought your argument was for all abortions?? I disagree with partial birth abortions...I agree that it is a woman's right to chose either way.

Who are we to decide what a women does with her body or child? Someone answered my question with: Parents decide what our kids can/cannot do with their lives until they are eighteen but how can we not have the power to decide to abort a child or not?

I respect your views but sometimes these things happen...we are dealing with something we have no control over. Say the USA made abortion illegal...then just imagine what people would do to get one. Risk their lives and have still killed a child. Or worse off...not killed the child but made the child's life miserable made the child suffer from serious mental issues or have an serious infection before they are even born. What about the ladies out there doing crack while they are pregnant. Shouldn't they have abortions and sent to prison? Every circumstance is different...the government shouldn't have a right to choose.

Do you believe in the death penalty?

If I knew what? That a baby can survive when its that small or that you don't know the circumstances that drive women to need abortions in the world today. Realize that a pregnant woman in her own individual situation has a right to make that choice for herself because she is a person. If men had babies, abortion wouldn't even be questioned. It would be normal, legal, and easily accessible.

Yea, that does nothing for me. I'm still pro-choice and don't understand the emotionally ridden false logic of pro-lifers. Partial birth abortions are usually only preformed when there's a life threatening risk to the pregnant woman or the child will be severely deformed.

Of course she's a person. She was born alive. She wasn't aborted and then lived. One has nothing to do with the other. A woman has the right to chose and, yes, abortion is a valid and permissible choice.

I do not believe in abortion. I had a premature daughter born at 28 weeks, she was 2 pounds and 5 ounces. She is a wonderful, healthy, happy child. And yes...she is definitely a person.

Sorry, but I still believe in the freedom to choose. I have a niece born weighing around 2 lbs. She's happy and healthy now - just has brainwashed parents who have become Jehovah's Witnesses. That's beside the point. But the thing is, they CHOSE to have her. They had that freedom to choose. Of course, now that my brother and his wife have joined that cult, the results may not have been the same given the beliefs this cult follows (the stance on blood transfusions for example).

omg..that is so sad..
I still don't believe in abortion though. the baby, although born premature and that small...is still breathing, eating and alive. She is a human being...a person. this really has nothing to do with abortion anyway. Abortion is killing the baby before it is born...this baby has been born and has entered the world..alive. I pray that she lives.
