...and If I didn't stress it enough: Get it done with a needle!

You can't sterilize a gun. When the gun pounds the stud through the ear (lobe, cartilege, wherever) there's a small amount of spatter. All they do between uses is wipe it down with an alcohol pad...THAT DOES NOT STERILIZE...and we all know that bacteria, spores, virii are all too small to see, so if it's not been wiped away, there may be some remaining to contaminate the next shot.

On top of that, the studs used in a gun are pointed, but not sharp. Though it's quick, the dullness tears at the tissues as it penetrates. A needle is razor sharp and goes through cleanly and less painfully. Where this makes a significant difference is the following days while it's healing and sore. The soreness much less with the clean needle piercing than with the equivalent of a small nail rammed through it.

Go to a quality place for starters! Ear piercing huts usually get a bad reputation, but if you go to a place that has a USDA safety certificate and has certified piercers it should be fine. I've got all my piercings (3) done at piercings huts. I have my earlobes pierced and my ear cartilage pierced. None of them hurt, and I got all of them done with a gun. Make sure that you actually see them clean the gun before they pierce. A needle supposedly is slower at being done, but alot more percise (supposedly). Go to a quality place and ask them the pro's and con's of each way. Good Luck♥

Whichever one you do, go to a shop that specializes in body piercing, not some place like "earring hut" at the mall. The piercing place my friend went to (she had a ton of cartilage piercings) used a needle, she said it was "better, but still really hurts".

specific, cartlidge piercings do harm extra effective than earlobe piercings... what kinda piercings dont harm? lol yet i'm going to provide help to realize, from working at a tattoo studio that did piercings, as long as you do no longer bypass to 3 ear piercing pagoda or some kyosk on the mall and get it executed with an ear piercing gun, it shouldnt harm to undesirable. getting executed at a qualified studio ability the needle they use would be very sharp and could slide by using your skin, making a sparkling hollow, and the technique would be executed in 2 seconds. additionally, regardless of if that's not executed by ability of a gun, it is going to heal lots lots much less stressful. those human beings at those kioksks dont understand what they're doing and it would be sore for a mutually as, pondering it being in an annoying-vendors portion of your physique. in basic terms attempt to now not sleep on the section that its pierced on, and be careful while BRUSHING YOUR HAIR! the comb can get caught on the piercing and that hurts like hell!
