Eh, the whole ghetto scene is growing. But too ghetto? Na. The amount to ghetto people to everybody else is probably somewhere around 1:120 which isn't bad at all.
Now, the rap and dance thing, I totally agree with that. So much of the rap today is just, cars, girls, guns, gangbanging, drugs and alcohol. Just a mockery of what rap and hip-hop was in the 90's with people like, tupac, nas, eric b and rakim, common, sage francis, immortal technique etc.

I agree to a certain extent. You can't really blame the rappers though. There is more music out there. Even hip hop that has a positive message. But, thats not what is making money right now. As long as corporate america can continue to capitolize on the "ghetto" element, it will not be going away any time soon. No one really cared when it was just black people listening to all the ghetto stuff. Now, EVERYONE is. So, once the consumer changes that... then the ghetto element will go away.

Ghetto - A section of a city occupied by a minority group who live there especially because of social, economic, or legal pressure.
I don't know how the world can become thug. The people can become thugs but the world can't become thug.
Rap is losing its touch lately. They aren't saying anything anymore. I remember back in the days when rap was about something.

The world isn't ghetto. It is just the USA. Look around at other countries. You will see that thugs and gangs are ignored and overlooked, and therefore go away.

Yes I agree. Even European countries have hip hop songs in their own language, although it is nothing like the U.S. It isn't just the rap songs that are annoying and repetitive, but most of the other genres of music are just as annoying and repetitive.

As much as the black culture has been and is hated it always seems like we are always being emulated by the non black culture. If one is selective in the rap and hip hop music they listen to, there is a lot of positive vibe being put out there.
