You mean 'proper music! Stuff where you can actually hear the words, by people with real names .............oh the sixties, if only I could be back there again.........went to the Matthew Street festival recently in Liverpool......fantastic.....back to your question tho.the music industry will only cater for the majority & those with the most disposable income .........hence the 20 - 40 age group get the first shout but the stuff of today will never stand the test of time like the stuff from the flower power era, summer of love., the Beatles, Searchers,Beach Boys, Flowerpot Men, Hedgehoppers Anonymous, Tornados............oops what did I say about real people with real names.......well who cares they were great !

There may not be music videos from that time, but there is concert and T.V. footage of singers and bands from that era,50's, 60's, and 70's. These are the best 3 decades in music as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, come on folks, there needs to be more 40 to 70 age group on here. Believe it or not , we love music. The real stuff, with tone, and words, and great rhythm, and stuff you can dance to and sing along with, etc. Come on where you at? I'm 54 and would sure like to see more music fans around my age on here!

The music video didnt really come about till the 80's. Which would account for the fact that there are no music videos from the 50-60s

Since MTV and the music video genre is only 25 years old, there aren't really music videos from the 1950's-1960's to broadcast on Yahoo Music.

I keep The Spectrum on the Direct television dish, a blend of previous and new, Channel 832, and prefer very a lot countless the recent and 1/2-new artists youthful than 60, for the innovation I listen and perspectives i'm getting and broadening all of it provides, certain. i love Alanis Morrisette, Dave Matthews, Tracy Chapman, John Lennon's and Bob Dylan's sons, Cheryl Crow, a lot of Michael Jackson's lyrics...and could flow on. Madonna became profane and crass from the start. the in ordinary words element she's executed i imagine is staggering is "Frozen".

the music video proper didn't emerge until the late 70's/early 80's so all the decent stuff is only concert footage. i think there should b a section for all the real music lovers where we can watch the great groups on t.v. shows like ready steady go,beat club and the ed sullivan show. i went to the liverpool empire on monday and saw the searchers, swinging bluejeans, the undetakers kingsize taylor and the merseybeats. best night you could ever have, and i;m only 35!!!!! keep on rockin mate!.
