Pal, don't forget we have elected them!!!. Unless our political parties or, the EC displays courage and ban people who are facing criminal charges to contest elections, until they are found non guilty, this will go on. And, there should be a rule to ban all who are convicted under criminal charges from contesting the elections for at least ten years after they are released from the prison. In India, more than 50% are illiterate. So, this rule should be a MUST.

That is because India is now only theoritically democratic country. In reality it is being run by the self styled feudal lords, the mafia dons turned politicians. It is really a pathetic situation. Situations have come such a pass because we have forgot the basic principle of Democracy. In a democracy for every right you enjoy you also have some duties. But in todays India everybody has rights but no duties.

No, this is not justified. But, why blame Sadhu Yadav?

We know he is a rowdy, rogue and what not. But, still we have elected him as MP, because he is a Yadav and a crony of Laloo.
Is it not our fault?. It is we, who have to take courage and not to elect such goondas,

How is this any different from the melees that take place in Democratic Taiwan? Inflamed passions is part of democracy. It's wrong to commit the assault but it sure beats political assassinations.
