It depends. When he says he wants to wipe Israel off the map, I believe him. When he says his nukes are for electricity only, I don't believe him.

The leader of every nation will say what is in the best interest of their nation and people (in most cases). If any President speaks the truth 100% of the time, that would leave the nation wide open and vulnerable.

I sure don't trust any leader of any country, but....

I know that the economic genocid perpertrated on Iran by the international community.

We made them fully dependant of fossils fuels, to make energy.

The problem is that so many country have already Nuclear bomb, but don't let internationals Checker to come visit instalations, but nobody put pressions....and they are potentially dangerous...like India.....

It is just another political maipulation, they just need Iran to transport stolen oil from Iraq, throught Iran toward China and other's dangerous country who don't respect any humans laws....

But we accuse Iran.....There is something wrong here...

"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor" Project for the New American Century (2000)

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

"We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."
David Rockefeller: Statement to the United Nations Business Council in September 1994
"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with other around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." David Rockefellers memoirs (2002)

I think we "expect" the truth from all political leaders but most fall short of our expectations. I seriously think Bush should agree to set down with Ahmadinejad and see what he has to say. I think it takes more courage to do that than to just let it reach a point where more bombs are dropped and more people die.

Can you expect the truth from ANY politician? Especially one with an extremist agenda?

Remember, the President of Iran once PERSONALLY held Americans hostage.

How can you expect the truth from the President of the US....or any politician for that matter?

2006-08-30 13:30:39 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 2 2

Yes you can, and we shouldn't expect anything else. No president is supreme no matter which country he presides over and for diplomacy to work you have to be diplomatic.

I for one would love to see a debate of all foreign nationals more often. Its long over due that servants of our country and of others actually serve and do so politically, verbally and honestly.

You can't expect the truth from any world leader. Their views are going to be biased towards whatever agenda they are working on.
