Dear This,

I have been a fan of Toshiba for years. Do you remember the old TEAC line of products? That stands for Toshiba Electronics of America Corporation. There quality and service have always been upper middle tier, and there price is ultra competitive. As a precaution you may want to consider a 3 year warranty to cover any "accidental" mishaps. For the $175 bucks it will cover everything including the LCD (display) and they cost almost half the price of the laptop to replace.

I hope this helps,

Lonnie

Absolutely, the Toshiba Satellite is a good notebook. If you have a used or refurbished one, tune it up real nice, and you will have it running in no time.

My kids have one and it's been pretty reliable, I have to admit. Good value for the price.
