Anna Beth is very sweet. Would Beth be her middle name, or would Anna Beth be her whole first name? I'd maybe go with Anna Elizabeth and the nickname Anna Beth just so that she has more options, but I really love it.

My younger daughter is Julianna, and we call her Annie, so I have a soft spot for Anna. Oh, and we've only met one or two other Anna/Annies under the age of 5. It's a traditional name that everyone has heard of, but it's certainly not common.

Some boy names that might be the same style as Anna Beth...

Joseph
Elijah (Eli)
Alexander (Alex)
Benjamin (Ben)
Ethan
Patrick (Patch might be a cute nickname)
Samuel (Sam)
Thomas
Noah
Lucas (Luke)
Jack (or John with the nickname Jack)
Jacob (Jake)
Elliott
Oliver

Hope that helps, and congrats on your pregnancy!

Anna Beth is ok, it's a little plain, but sweet. For boys I personally like names that begin with J like Jason, Jeffrey, Johnathan and so on.

Anna Beth is a beautiful name. My sons' names are Dylan and Jaron, so, of course, I like those names. I would say to not fall in the trap of the most popular names of "today" because you may get sick of it. The ol' tried and true names are always nice!

We did classical/biblical names for our children: Hannah Rachel and Nathan Daniel. I don't like the *new* names like Tanner, Taylor, etc...way too over popularized--they'll be "dated" in 50 years--like the names Mildred and Ida. My sister named her daughter Alora (from the movie Willow) and people always say Alor-wha?--drives me nuts! I like the 'never go out of style names'-- like Anna and Beth.

For a boy maybe Zachary, Johnathan (call him John or Jack--LOVE Jack), Michael, Ryan....good strong names!

I do like Anna Beth!
