Have any of you ever taken a lot of dance classes? I'm really bored and I would love to here any good, sad, or funny stories about your dance experiances.

I take a ton of dance classes.
There are way too many "hurting myself" stories to talk about....
One memorable one, in particular, was the time that I broke my foot.
I was helping out with Nutcracker rehearsals with the littler kids, and I was always really cold so I had these slippers on. In the middle of their rehearsal, I decided to balance in passe, and I somehow lost my balance and made the loudest, most painful noise I had ever heard. One big *crack.* My foot swelled up like a balloon, and what made it worse, was that I thought I had broken my foot, but I asked another teacher, who is also a nurse, what she thought, and she told me it definitely wasn't broken and that it would all be fine. But I went to get my foot x-rayed and it was broken. I couldn't be in The Nutcracker that year, even though I got my cast off a day before the performace, but I still had to go to rehearsals and take notes... depressing, to say the least. Then, I still had to help with the little kids, and I somehow got in charge of sending a Lead Page onto the stage, during a non-stop dress rehearsal, and I didn't know what the counts were, so I got screamed at later, even though it wasn't my fault and everyone thought I was a total idiot. Then, for the next performances, I had to help with the little kids for eleven hours a day, who were around 10 years old. And i've never handed in my community service forms. I didn't get so much as a "thank you" for helping.
It was the most miserable experience of my life.

My first dance class 2we spent an hour warming up and stretching, and then we learned a routine. Well, I had been magically put in an intermediate class, so the routine was a little hard and I was crying.... Which totally ddidn't matter because it was a really high up class, so you were there to dance and thats what the teacher cared about. Anyways, there was... what you would call a "kick", I "Kicked" and fell on my butt.

I left the class.

Now, I am what people might call "Brilliant".

4 hours of dance a day...., plus my own practice time in the studio. WOOOOO

I have strong legs now. Which totally reminds me....
I need to get a wider shank.... *thoughts*

I take 11 hours a week and soon I will have rehearsals too. I fell during pirouttes. There is a sad story. This summer I broke my toe and it was right before my favorite summer dance camp for 5 week started. The doctor said that it will take 6 weeks until I can dance. I was soo sad. The camp makes u stronger and gives more technique and I am missing it because of a toe! Also, before I broke my toe, I got a letter that said I ma going to go on pointe. Boy, did it feel bad. Well now I amback to dancing YAY.
