In today’s society alcohol has become more of a problem vs. drugs. Alcohol can be just as damaging if not more than drugs, but is socially accepted. Families are more likely to enable an alcoholic rather than a drug user. Alcohol is also more readily available, making it harder to quit. Since alcohol is around every corner nowadays the temptation is a constant threat to those trying to change their life around. It can cause more harm to people than drugs. Alcohol also seems to be the gateway drug among high school students. The children today are more susceptible to try alcohol at a young age than drugs. This is why I feel between drugs and alcohol, alcohol is defiantly the bigger threat of the two.

I would say drugs and alcohol both have devistating effects.Alcohol destroys families in many different ways.I personally have lost family members to a drunk driver. My grandma and my mom's little sister who was only one year older than me.My step grandpa was not suppose to have children due to a childhood injury so my mom's little sister was his miracle baby.I was 11 and she was 12.My step grandpa watched his miracle baby die on fathers day in 1991 wearing a shirt she had written the words worlds number one dad on.Had this person made a wiser decision and chose not to drive they would still be here, but when have you ever heard oh I made the wisest decision the other night when I was drunk.Drugs are just as bad. There are many children living in poverty because their parents spend all their money on drugs.I could go on and on,but I think you see they are both a problem for our country.

Drugs. I think drugs are more addictive, especially the hard drugs like heroin, crack, meth. Once addicted it leads to stealing or prostitution, anything that will get money to buy more drugs.
