What do you think of the decision and how does it affect the FIA's image in your eyes?

Unfair.

How can you allow Renault to use the mass dampers towards the end of last season legally, and then this year, you deice that they are illegal when other teams have begun adopting them. Its just unfair. If they re-wrote the books and said the dampers would cease to be legal from the new season, thats acceptable. But to make the decision mid-season, it suggests they are trying to see Ferrari overhaul Renault to the Constructor (and possibly Driver) Championships.

Moreover, they had to do so in over-ruling the stewards (who are part of the FIA). Its just sorry. And a huge shame to FIA.

I'm a Ferrari fan, but I must admit, the whole thing does smell a little fishy. Is it Bernie doing something behind the scenes? Are they (whoever "they" are) trying to manipulate the outcome of the 2006 result so that Schumi can win his 8th title and retire in a blaze of glory and let Kimi go to Ferrari as Montezemolo wants?
I've also read on f1racing.net that Briatore is planning to put forward a protest against Ferrari regarding the legality of their car. Hmmm.
I guess it's all part and parcel of F1..controversy, secrecy, don't get caught cheatin'
May the best car/team/man win (legal or not)!
