OK, I'm giving you a situation you may have heard about in the news, not very recently, but if you didn't, answer whether you think this is a Terrorist Organization, and afterwards I'll tell you what the government said.

This organization opposes what they consider to be inhumane treatment of animals in product testing. They use bombs to blow up facilities, but only when they are sure no humans are present or in danger.

Terrorists?

No, they were not trying to kill anyone, even animals. They were using bombs, but specifically to destroy property.

Vandals

They are even worse -- they are vigilantes in the modern sense of the word. That's because there are lots of legal ways to achieve what their aims are, in an open and democratic society with a free media and the right to advertise their case, protest the practices they fund unnacceptable, pettition the government for a change in the laws, and pursue alternatives that would eliminate the "need" for the things they stand against. Instead of using these lawful means, they choose to destroy private property, violate the rights of others, break the law, and risk life and limb of others.

How can they tell the security guard isn't about to open the door from inside, or that one of the employees isn't aboput to come back for the purse she forgot at her desk, just as their bomb goes off? Or that their bomb won't go off on the road as they transport it to the target? They can't, and they don't care either -- it's just collateral damage if it does happen (but boy how they will whine and moan about someones else's collateral damage, won't they?).

The fact is, they are vandals, criminals, terrorists, vigilantes, and spoiled little crybaby brats who can't deal with the fact that they won't always get exactly what they want. They are unfit to be members of a free society.

BTW, I am a lifelong supporter of the Humane Society , SPCA, and the Nature Conservancy, I do volunteer wildlife rehabilitation and comaonion animal rescue, and I help our local grassroots organizations take care of feral animals and assist the DA in prosecuting animal cruelty cases. So it's not like I'm some anti-animal-rights extremist or anything, I simply have a brain and recognise that the system will work if you work within it and have patience and commitment -- and if someone is not willing to do that and live withing society's rules, they are not a functionaing member of society (they are part of the problem, not part of the solution).

Yes, I would say so. Some people did that at the U of M and they let loose a bunch of animals that have since gone and made other species out of the lab sick, and they set back the research the scientists were doing by 20 years. Im sorry people, but who cares if people are testing on mice. they are rodents. if they were in your home, you'd kill them.

PETA ? No not terrorists , just stupid people , thinking they have the right to make demands on other people . They don't analyze the whole situation and turn to dangerous results to accomplish their destructive behavior .

I would say no, because terrorists act to cause mass fear, panic and terror. Sounds like this orginazation is trying to make a point through destruction. I would call them more of an extreme radical group.

yes they are terrorists - they are destroying the physical assets of people and companies and that counts.
as far as knowing that no one will be hurt - these kinds of stories are frequently punctuated by the death of a vagrant or nightwatchman or person working overtime that no one suspected would be there.

No. Vandals.

Terrorists seek to achieve their agenda by inducing fear and paranoia. Hence, at least some of their actions must result in, or be expected to result in, loss of life.

These people are not trying to cause fear or control people through paranoia. They are trying to make it too expensive for the companies to continue the testing practices.

That's criminal vandalism, but not terrorism.

THERE IS NO SUCH A THING AS "TERROR",

Therefore, there is no Terrorist Organizations...

This whole term was invented at the time to draw the people that you would like to fight with as bad and your self as good.

This term is a good result of the humans hypocrite attitude.
