Make a word document with the name. Take a screen shot using ALT PRINT Screen. Do a Paste into Paint or PhotoED. Crop out what you don't want. Save it as a bit map. Get the bitmap like you usually pick your wallpaper.

So use a graphic program like Paint to make a picture with your name on it (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint)
Save the picture in BMP format
Right click on the Desktop
Select Propeties
Click on the Desktop tab
Browse to the picture of your name
Select it and click OK
You should now have your dekstop branded with your name

Enjoy...

Why dont you use paint(program) most comps come with it look under, start, all programs, and it should say paint and then make your name however you want it and color how you want save it. And then you can change your background and browse and then you can find it where ever you saved it. So remember where you saved it whether documents or photos. Then click on it and it will go on your background.

Do you have paint. Write it in there, then save it. Right click, go to properties, desktop, browse, then go to were ever you saved it, and double click on it, then it will go to the list of desktops, click on what ever you named it, and click apply. Then your name will be on your desktop. Hope this answers your question.
