we are trying to get pregnant. my ovulation period has just terminated, I am getting pains, on my sides similar to what I get when I am expexting my period-does this automatically mean that conception has not ocurred?

Some people get their period the first month of their pregnancy LIKE ME, others have it for months.But yes you will experience pms symptoms if pregnant, some doesnt it depends on the woman's body or its genetics.If you experience cramping, lightheaded, tired and sore breast, thats pregnancy symptoms and premenstrual symptoms too.I got my period on August 18, 2006 and yesterday I went to the doctor & found out IM PREGNANT!so just be patient and wait if your period comes this month & if u really think u r preggy take a preggy test or blood test to find it earlier.take care and hope things turn out the way u want it.<3aloha

Conception probally did occur..... I recommend that you relax, & wait until you are 7-14 days late for your period before getting tested. The test will be more accurate the longer you wait, but can be accurate as soon as the day after your missed period. Good luck, and congrats if you are pregnant!

No it does not mean conception hasn't occured. Some women even get a very light period after conception because your bodies hormones are still adjusting. But if you're not prego yet it's still fun trying.
