Don't be such a baby.
If you can't take the pain the only tattoo you should get is a stick on one.

Some tattoo artists/shops have a topical anisthetic cream available that will slightly numb the area beforehand. However, it does sometimes make it take a little longer to heal, and can make the colors take differently in your skin. If you are seriously concerned with it, talk to the shop/artist ahead of time and see if this is something they offer. A couple Ibuprofen beforehand might help... do not, under any circumstances, show up drunk, stoned... whatever... it will not help. Being drunk, your blood will be thinner and it will be harder to do, being stoned will just make it hurt more for you. Honestly, it does not hurt that bad... it does depend on where you are getting it on your body, but you can discuss this with the artist.

No, as a matter of fact, most tattooers don't want you to use any topical ointment as the area will be shaved before the tattoo is applied. More importantly, you want to go to a reputable place. Some people take ibeprophen to lessen any swelling, but pain, well that's a part of the price of the tattoo.

I'm sorry to say ,but NO.But i'll tellthis though make sure u know what u wanna get. and just get it done, don't think about , don't look at the ink artist when he's starting. just be calm, relax, u could even bring ur mp3 and listen to it while u getting ur tattoo done. don't worry you'll be fine, it will hurt at first, because you'll feel the needle but then ur skin will go a little numb .just don't think about the pain.

Just grin and bear it. Never take any painkillers or drink alcohol before getting a tattoo. It will thin your blood and make it difficult for the artist to work.

sometimes you can get a mild pain killer or a cream but its not that bad, pain is part of the process.
If you are afraid of the pain, you might want to re-think getting a tattoo to begin with!

dont take anything that will thin out your blood, otherwise you will have a very bloody time. pain also depends on where you get it. i have three tattoos and the only one that hurt was on the lower part of my back.

Skip the TATTO and it will not hurt at all. Especially if you are going to do a tramp stamp.
