Ethically and legally USA cannot ask Iran to abandon nuclear program even if they are developing N bombs. First they shoud eliminate their own aresanal of thousands of N warheads and then they can argue to stop Iran to going nuclear.

How a smoker can ask other smoker "Do not smoke! It is not good for you"

It should be equally treated as other countries of the world like India, Pakistan, Israel and Brazil.

No, the UN is being a little slow to react to the Iran and N. Korea problem.

This is the same game that Hussein played in Iraq. The UN will continue to make a stream of toothless resolutions (due to procedural road blocks set up by those that do not have western interests at heart) and Iran will continue to ignore them and make weapons grade material while at the same time playing on public opinion by saying that it is their "right" and vilifying anyone who says otherwise.

Further, should anyone (like Israel) grow tired of waiting for the UN do actually do something (which will never happen) and effect a pre-emptive strike to prevent their enemies from actually producing a nuke they will be publicly vilified for not going through the UN.

Keep in mind that Iran has publicly stated multiple times that their goal is to see Israel wiped from the face of the earth. It's kind of like a school yard bully saying that he is going to "pound your head", looking menacingly at you when he picks up a baseball bat, and then crying to the teacher that it is his right to play baseball after you report him for threatening you. While it's true that technically the bully hasn't done anything, should you be expected to wait until he caves your head in with a baseball bat before any real action is taken?

“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

No, our hands our tied because our armies are already locked up in Iraq and Afghanistan. Fighting a war on two fronts is extremely taxing on the country, and fighting a 4 front war (if we added Iran and N Korea) would be impossible. This is why we should have chosen our battles more carefully.

No, its the UN and the international communities fault. Nobody is backing the US (except for the traditional allies America has) Everyone else is simply being defiant to try to show up the US. The UN needs to step in with force and make them comply(n. korea and Iran)

The legally elected Iranian president has offered peace talks and even a TV Debate with the man residing in the white house and he was rejected.

Nuclear weapon exists massively in the middle east. so this issue is not new.

So there is no Iran and N.Korea problem, but there is one American problem called Hypocrisy. This feature should be eliminated from the Native American Occupied country...

If not for Bush's personal vendetta/war against Saddam, we would have the available resources right now to go after the true threats to our security.

Thanks again, George.
