I would make that trade. Simms has a lot more upside than Brunell. Brunell might lose his starting job, if not before the first game than very soon there after. Simms has the spot locked and he looked good last year. Galloway and Clayton are going to be a big help for him, ad Boston will be in the mix too.

Although Chris Simms is a decent QB, don't ever mistaken him for his Pro-Bowl father, Phil Simms. Tampa Bay is a defensive orienated team and Caddilac Williams is the focal point of the offense, so Simms won't have that much opportunity to pass the ball since this is a winning team that can run the ball and play excellent defense. TB QB usually are not reliable fantasy QB and Simms is no different from all the others, which includes Trent Dilfer and Brian Greise (have they ever been a top-10 QB in the past).

Mark Brunell is old but still reliable in some cases. Compare to last season, he finally have the best receiving crop in years (Santana Moss, Brandon Lloyd, Antwann Randle El, Chris Cooley), so he can't go wrong with passing to any one of his recievers, as well as handing the ball to Clinton Portis and T.J. Duckett. Although not a flashy QB, he'll still end up outperforming Simms by the end of the season.

In a heart beat. Simms will be a top 10 QB and maybe a top 5... Brunell is at best in the middle of the pack.

Eh. I hope this is for your back-up spot. I would keep Brunell for now. He has some good weapons. Simms hasn't proved anything yet.

If these are your only choices, take Simms. He has more upside, and Brunell has been hurt/unproductive this pre season.

Good luck this season!

yes, if the guy who has Simms wants an old, immobile QB who can't really even throw anymore.

Simms is a sleeper QB for me; I don't know why anyone would accept Brunnell for him straight up.

no, because brunell has a great offense around him.
