I am not sure about the w800i but i have the w700i... In it, if you don't want to hear the camera's "click", just put your phone in the silent mode before taking the picture.
Both the phones are pretty much the same so i reckon it should work in the w800i as well...!

I dont have a sony-erecsion, I have a nokia N-93 but I have little information about this cell.You should keep the phone on silent mode.

in case you go onto the Sony Ericsson website there's somewhat that shows you the optimal memory card each telephone can carry, it is going to inform you there even if in case you may have 4GB or no longer maximum telephones optimal is two or 4GB

IN ALL SONYERICSSON PHONES..U MAY HAVE THE CHOICE OF THE SOUNDS BUT I DONT THINK THERE IS A FEATURE TO TURN OFF THE CMERA SHUTTER SOUND...
WELL...ENOUGH SECURITY FOR SPY PHOTOGRAPHY...
U CAN CHOOOSE THE SHUTTER SOUND BY>>>>>CAMERA>>>SETTINGS>>> SOUND

try going in the phones options, in audio or music settings or something like that and try taking the volume down or something in camera options if all this doesn't work...I'm sorry but you are stuck
