Yes. Family International, previously known as Children of God, was a group that became popular in the 60's. They believe in "free love" and oftentimes performed sexual activities w/ young children and adults. It was basically a huge orgy and many children were tormented and were led to believe that God wanted what was happening to them. While many children escaped the cult, there still are members and we don't know whether or not the sexual happenings are still going on. I know all of this because I saw it on Dateline and it had this whole special on this cult. It's really sad and they even led a recent ex-member to kill his own mother, who was the leader of Family International.

yes, there was a show on them last night...they have a reputation of having sexual relations with the kids in the group. They interviewed several former kids who are now in their 20's and all said they had been molested starting at age 5. The leader now is the wife of the founder and she refuses to be seen in public. Her son who had left the group killed a woman who molested him as a child and the commit ed suicide

Folks........ "cult" is just a way to say "small religious group".
Numbers dont make you valid.
And Jesus of Nazareth once led a "cult" of Jews who understood he was their Messiah.
"Cult" doesnt mean "evil"......it means "small".

They did way too much acid in the sixties and are still crazy!! Please stay away from them!! Trouble !
