the reason why I'm asking is because when I bought the computer it was described as an Intel Pentium 4 processor, and my computer has the Intel Pentium 4 processor sticker on the tower. I am not sure if they were both referred to by different names or I just got mislead. The owners manual states I have a Pentium 4 but when I check my computer/properties it shows Intel Celeron.

A Intel Celeron Processor is not a good processor for anything other than the basic computer functions (playing solitaire, e-mail, web surfing). It is the lowest line of Intel processors on the market. If you want to do more with your computer, I would recommend getting at least a Pentium 4 or a AMD processor (good for gaming just make sure you pick the maybe about 3400 and up).

A Celeron processor is not a Pentium 4. If you were supossed to have a Pentium 4 in your system, then Dell has made a mistake on this system. I would return it for exchange to get a proper system.
