Is this a way to build trust from a new evening anchor?

Never mind the photo. How can we trust a network news anchor who has spent most of her career interviewing celebrities and doing fluff stories on happy-talk morning TV? Not exactly the kind of background you'd want for someone who sits in the anchor chair.

They (network news) do things like that all the time. Remember when they had to use an explosive charge on a tire to stage a blowout in an SUV. They omit, emphasize and alter as they see fit which is sad, because they are suppose to be even-handed and truthful. The saddest thing here is that she is suppose to have gotten the job on her ability rather than looks.

All they do is report the news. I don't trust or distrust "anchor people". I distrust the media in general because most media sources are bought by someone.

She is only a fluff piece. She was selected because the jews like dwarfs with big mouths at cbs! I think she looks far too old to be seen on any TV screen!

Edited, airbrushed, photoshopped, retouched. all those have been used, yet through attractiveness of modifying photos on line, the term 'image-shopped' is the main hassle-free term at present. image-cropping is touching on resizing, or reducing out an element of a image.

It is a common deceitful thing done by the media. But I don't believe she was responsible for it.

Ah - appearance over substance!

Wow, scary that someone thought she needed to lose the weight. I think she is thin already. Most likely not her decision.

I don't think it was done with her permission, nor did she know about it until after it was already published. Besides, you really cares.

That's just vanity. I don't think it has much to do with the news content.
