Goodness, yes! I quickly learned to forgive when I discovered that it wasn't really setting the criminal [sort of speak] free, but it was in fact maintaining my own freedom to live unshackled by another person inability to stop distressing others for self medication. Forgiveness is refusing to except a ticket to the "hate fair." often when you go there the rides never stop, you continue to throw up anything you try to settle within, you stay dizzy and it's always night time because daylight never comes. I make it my business to forgive before my day began, so that I have within in me already a back-up source of forgiveness to release. You just never know, and you alto be able to say in your heart when something occurs you didn't expect that was done to you in "mean spirited-ness" "thank goodness I forgave you already for that one." this is good for strangers to. [giggles] it works 4 me.

Of course!

When we forgive someone, we also take the weight of the issue out of our mindset and no longer give it permission to annoy us.

If we understand how we have already been forgiven by others who are easy going, easy to forgive, we should be inspired to share that strength of compassion and forgiveness. Once we forgive someone for their trespassing on our heart, we can move on and deal with the next item on our agenda, without the heavy burden of that past issue bothering us.

Forgive, try to forget, move on, live on, live long-er!

yes i do feel like a big burden has been lifted off my shoulders because I've been carrying that burden around all the time
it really does not make since to me to be angry with someone too long because the person will most likely forget about what happened and you will be the only one contemplating the situation

Do you feel happy when you pay an old debt? or get paid from a borrowing you gave?
Its the same, also unforgiving brings you chemical imbalance which may cause deceases (watch "what the bleep do you know" DVD)

i feel better i guess.....man it doesn't come easy though...but i hold on to the idea that i don't have to trust...i just have to forgive...unless i want to hold bitterness and rage inside me. It doesn't make it right, what they did to me.
