Is it just a chance that we are living in an age in which the December solstice and June solstice coincide with Perihelion and Aphelion respectively? Will the solstice points drift with time, due to precession of the earth, along its orbit about the sun?

Random, just random!
Astronomy is just another way to explain the unexplainable. Like religion, makes no sense, so you choose to believe. If there is a GOD we are all unique, if there isn't we are still all Unique. No star, no planet alignment Gives me meaning!
Study magic, study religion, study quantum physics, it makes NO difference!
