Without question, they're the best shows on television today. Two bright wits and an amazing team of writers bring fake news that's more real and relevant than anything you see on the mainstream media.
I had a hard time adjusting to the Colbert Report at first but it's edged The Daily Show out in my eyes now... just barely though. Both shows are brilliant and I hope they can keep it up as they lose more correspondents.

I watch them both, have been a fan of The Daily Show when Kilborn was host. In a time in our history where "SPIN" has replaced "TRUTH" it is nice to see the reality of our times in a comical yet effective way. As for Mr. Colbert, anyone who saw him on The Daily Show just knew he deserved his own show. A great decision by Comedy Central and the shows compliment each other. Truthiness Rules!

Daily shows is one of my favorite sources of humor and another perspective on current events.
Colbert is starting to get his act together, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as he improves. The Geraldo skit-arc was brilliant.

They're pretty much the only shows on TV that interest me. I cannot stand another sitcom or doctor/lawyer/police show. They expose the hypocracy of the media and government- by pretty much letting our leaders shoot themselves in the foot.
yeah- possibly the two best shows on TV.

my husband really likes the daily show. i have to admit it can be funny, and a more entertaining way to get your news than the usually depressing nightly news. but i don't really like watching it because it is sacreligious at times.

Dude that is where I get my source of information! Seriously... I think that it brings some humor to this whole mess of things that our government is getting us into.
