use the cream for vaginal yeast infections in your belly button... this cream can kill yeast infections in other parts of your body too... you can get yeast infections in your belly button, under your nails, etc.

also after you shower make sure you really dry out your belly button and use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to clean it out a couple of times a week.

there is a OTC medication for yeast infections, it's called AZO or something like that, it's an herbal remedy to help prevent infections and help clear up infections you already have.

having a yeast infection does not mean you're dirty. :)

It's not possible to get a yeast infection in your belly button unless you have a giant gaping hole there with a lot of unprotected skin. A yeast infection is an overload of certain naturally occuring bacterias in your body that can happen pretty much anywhere you have an orifice including your mouth and eyes... yup pretty gross. If you have or have had a piercing there it's very likely you have an infection and I would go to a reputable piercing store or your doctor to get it checked out. Now, sometimes, things do get "caught" in your belly button and can create a not so nice smell and may look a little "yeasty" but if it continues to itch for more than a week, you should try getting it checked out. Also, if there is a rash I would go to the doctor. Some OTC meds would be as simple as some benadryl or any anti-itch medication... don't start slathering it with fruity smelling lotions though... If you really think it's a "yeast" problem, go to the store and get some monistat, but just use the anti-itch cream it comes with for relief. Also, pick up some acidopholus pills... it's a vitamin with the countering bacteria for yeast infections. I take it whenever I start an antibiotic since I'm highly prone to infections. Good luck!

Hmmm I dont know if it is paticurarly YEAST but I have seen this before. I would not put anything on it. This probably happened because you did not wash for a couple days. Let me guess....it also has an aweful odor, right? Do you have skin folds in that area? Moisture could have gotton trapped in there and then bacteria began to form. Keep the area clean and dry and it should go away.

I get psoriasis around my belly button and it can be aggravated by too much yeast in the body. You need to be careful using cortisone cream as it makes the skin thinner and you can bleed if you scratch too hard. Search for some images on psoriasis to see if they match what you have in your belly button. Then you can check out remedies from there. Good luck.

It could be yeast or some kind of fungal infection. try putting regular yogurt over the top of it. (just a little bit) If it's yeast the yogurt should kill it. If not talk to your dermatologist, you might need an anti-fungal cream.

It's not a yeast infection. You just need to wash it with a mild soap, dry it well, and put some neosporin in it.

Use a q-tip and a little mild soap and water to gently clean the area. It may just need a good cleaning.
