It is a 3D scene chat service and not a game.
you can earn credits each day for viewing the new products part of the catalog and you can play a free spin game once a day and possibly win 132 or 500 credits.
I have won on this free spin several times in the last month
so persistence pays off

I just won 17 credits... the catalog thing gives you just a few up to 50 Cr. a day. I usually average about 200 Cr a week by visiting the new catalog every day and when the spinner is nice to me I can make
several hundred credits a week.
Also the credit economy is low now and you can buy credits at less than half price...if you look you might find credits for a third of the full price

IMVU isnt a game , its an IM service, so there werent be "cheats" per say >.> and if ur thinking more of cheating the system and getting credits without paying or through an easy method umm >.> well i myself just invite people to join via email, they make an account through your invite u get 500, they spend there credits u get even more, etc etc i havent spent a dime of rl cash and ive prolly had and spent about 8,000 in creds just by inviting friends to come use it

There is no way to get free credits.The only ways you can get credits are to:
1.Buy some.(LadyRena has some pretty cheap credits)
2.Go spin the wheel.(Go to DeezyDee's profile and click the link that he has for the wheel.)
3.Ask for some.(Make a ChatCast and you may get generous people to give you some.Believe me,it works,I've tried ;])
4.Visit the new products page every 24 hours.(Same thing with the wheel.)
5.Enter contests.(You can go to LoveMe06's profile because she has some easy contests.Also You can go to the forums and type in "contests",there you willl find many contests to enter.)
I hope this helps you on your search for credits!! It better because I did'nt type this for my health!
