it depends...
if a woman comes up to me and tells me that she likes the way i am dressed, i would accept the complement and thank her.
if a man yells out a car window, "Damn, you fine!" or whistles at me while i'm walking down the street, i'd give him the middle finger while simultaneously memorizing his license plate. then, later that evening, i'll go egg his home for treating me like a piece of meat...

I am an old man, once hot, now not! I use to get compliments about my looks. It embarrassed me! Looks like time passes, we had better be beautiful inside, that beauty never fades!

Sure i do! it makes me feel good about something for the day and it's super nice to know that not everyone's too obsessed with their task to so much as stop and compliment someone once :) and hey! good karma karma karma! :)

Yes, because any type of compliments, be it from friends or relatives or even strangers makes me feel good about myself and it elevates my self-esteem.
