Why?

Also, tell me how old you were when you had this particular job.

I find as I get older each job becomes my favorite. I am not sure why, but perhaps it is because I can now take jobs that would not have been offered to me when I first started in the work world. In other words, I have more choice in where I work and at what I do.

(That's why I asked the part about your age)

The best job I've had was as a meeting coordinator/facilities technician II with EA Sports. I was hired on at the age of 37 and to tell you the truth, it was a life saver. Approaching middle age is tough for anyone, but working for a videogaming company changed that. Just being in an atmosphere where everyone thinks young and acts young is great medicine for people feeling "old". Lots of fun activities sponsored by the company, tons of benefits, stock options that can make you wealthy, never a dull moment while working and the ability to meet and greet athletes, movie stars and music industry moguls. Our facilities also has two full restaurants, full service health club and a cool company store with wholesale prices on apparel and videogames/systems. You can't beat that!

I was an Electronics Tech in the mid '80's and then I was a Custodian, now I am a clerk, but being an Electronics Tech was a fun job. I got to learn alot about building Printed Circuit Boards for Frequency Converters, that was my best years. Now I am just cruising for retirement. :)

Library assistant. I was 40. I wanted to work in our library since I was 8 years old. I used to tell everyone that's what I was going to do. As soon as I was old enough to put in applications I would put one in there every so often. The same ladies worked there forever. They started leaving the library when I was 40. They were in their 70's and 80's. I applied again and got the job. I love libraries!

Im 29. I love my current job as a contractor. I am a network engineer by profession, but my current field is by far the best ive had, i am my own boss and soul owner of all my earnings.

The older you get, the more professional, the more wise and smart you get in work enviornment. That's why you dont mind taking more challenging roles in the work world and now the world sees the potential in you, YOU ROCK GIRL !

Camp Counselor this summer. It was a lot of fun being in the woods for two months. Having new kids each week was kind of heartbreaking but also very exciting. I remember a week camp lasting a lifetime when I was 8. Knowing that I touched those lives really made me feel good.

Working in Tom Savini's "Crypt of Terror". A haunted house in Tucker GA. I was 19, it was a part time gig. It was the best experience ever and actually good pay. (per diem, not taxes) I would suggest this job to anyone that has to deal with the public. Scaring the crap outta ppl is a great way to blow off some steam!!

my current job. i work at dunkin donuts and while it may seem easy, it isn't really. and dispite getting up at 6 sometimes to go in early, i love the people that come in, there are a lot of variety.
i'm 16 so i got the job at 16. and everything behind the counter is free, not that that matters because i don't drink coffee or eat donuts (sort of defeats the purpose of working there eh?) the people i work with are great, almost all of them go to my school and it is just awesome overall.

2 years ago when I was 30 I worked in a shoe store...sounds lame but wow, I loved it!! Then I got a job working as a PSW (personal support worker) and I'm still doing it to this day. I absolutely love my job. Wouldn't trade it in for nothing. It's now my carreer. Didn't think I'd ever do that back in the day.
