It's like something building and building, you know it's coming and you get all ready and excited about it but then...nothing happens.

There is a big scene where the Ultimate Evil and Ultimate Good meet in one final pitched battle.

Ultimate Good claps his hands and Ultimate Evil drops dead.

Huh? I want to see a massive fight scene, where the tide of battles switches from side to side. Not this, "bang bang,,.you're dead." kind of crap.

You build up to something big and it fizzled. No emotional catharsis for me.

Not as great as you expected. There is a big buildup to something and then when it happens, blah, it ain't much of anything.

it's sort of creating things that it needs a rising outcome but then it did not actually happen after all the efforts in doing so.

It means that something that you think is gonna be really great... but when it actually happens... it's not really that good, and therefore a let-down.
