If she gave you up, she gave up any rights to be a grandmother. You could, as someone else suggested, be the bigger person, but she sounds pretty bitter and do you really want your children to feel the way you do a few years from now? You know the kind of damage this woman can do, keep the kids away from her.

You have to get it on tape that she said that. Or video or writing. At any rate, the children may have to testify that grandma said that. However, sounds like your mama loves drama. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what you did to your mother to make her 'hate' you. I say that you should just move away and take your kids with you. Let her try to sue...the court will have no idea where to send the sopeana.

The only reason why she would do that is she thinks you're an unfit mother. If you're a good mother and don't use drugs or drink, there's no way she can get any parental rights to your kids. If you allow her to see your kids on holidays or other occasions, maybe she won't be such a frigid biAtCh. What kinda of a mother would thrown away her kids???

If you don't give her the chance to have a relationship with her grand kids you will be the monster. You don't have talk to her. But you really should let her see the kids. Your choice!! Your kids may thank you later for being the bigger person. Who really cares what your mom thinks. Its all about the kids. Good luck!!

hmm that's a tricky one.. it depends on how she feels bout the grands and how she treats them when she has them..
i could care less if my mom liked me or not.. i'm grown and don't need her approval for anything and u should feel the same way about urs..
if u don't trust her then bring them by to visit for like a half a day why u go run some errands.. but don't keep them away from her especially if they enjoy being around her..
just set up some rules about what u want her discussing w/ur children.. like her telling them that she doesn't like u is a big no no....

WOW... If my mother told me she hated me i would never let my kids around her again.. Hate is a pretty big word to say to someone who gave birth to you... And just explain to the judge you're situation with you're mother if you go to court... But no on the visiting you re children!!!!

I'm sure, despite everything your mother has done that you still love her. Mom needs counseling. You need it also for what she has put you through. Talk to a lawyer and get proof of things she's said or done. It's a shame your children will have to get involved in this. I'll pray for you and your family.

First I was going to go into the "grandparents have rights" speech, but in your case your mom has lost hers. Your kids do not need someone like that in their lives. good luck! P.S I agree with the person up there. (I'm no doctor)but seems like your mother is abusive toward kids (power thing) and would like to continue with them what she left off with you and your siblings.

I'm sorry for your situation. Let her see the kids but make the kids aware that Grandma may say some mean things.

I would laugh my *** off! Grandparent rights, if she does't like you she doesn't like your children either after all they are apart of you! I say the hell with her older bitter females such as her never change very rarely so spare yourself the trouble. I would tell her take me to court ..............=)
